Intermunicipal associativism constitutes a phenomenon of articulation of a set of local governments that interconnected seek to execute one or more public policies in a level of equality between them. The present article represents a recent consideration for the work being carried out by the Latin American Municipalities Associations regarding their role in reducing the structural weaknesses of the National States, the lack of international cooperation and exiguous integration process that characterizes To the Latin American countries. The intermunicipal Associativism is a real opportunity to bet on development strategies that improve the quality of life of the habitants of our territories and this document seeks to contribute to the reflection and debate about the impulse that the municipalities are unfolding as agents of trade and bonding between public and private institutions.
