Abstract

In the search for the results improvement in the learning of elementary school students in Mexico, many changes have been implemented in the applicable public educational policies, which include the application of particular strategies such as those actions aimed at strengthening Autonomy of School Management. This construct refers about to the condition by the school community has the right and the ability to make decisions to generate better environments for learning. This article shows the results of an experimental evaluation that seeks to verify the effect that the actions had to strengthen the autonomy of school management, in the learning of basic education students and in the management skills of the directors of that same education level; Likewise, it allows to know the associated factors that hinder or allow the development of the autonomy of school management, determining the success or failure of the intervention strategy carried out in public sector basic education schools in the state of Tabasco. The most relevant findings are favorable aspects, those in which school management strategies were carried out jointly between managers, teachers and parents. The negative impact of greater impact is represented by the socioeconomic and family conditions of the students that condition their attendance at the educational centers.
