Abstract

The main purpose of this article is to verify family / school relations and their influence on students' school life and its consequence on teacher malaise. The research was carried out at the Padre João Barbalho Municipal School of elementary education I. The research was semi-structured with a total of 40 parents or guardians and with 10 teachers from that school. Realizing that in opposition to what the parents say, teachers perceive a strong absence of these, both in the meetings and in the help of school tasks to be carried out at home. The sum of this brings them a certain discomfort that causes stress and when somatized brings them or aggravates processes of illness. In this way, we can verify that for a greater participation of the parents in the school life of the students it is necessary to be aware of those responsible and that the school needs to promote strategies for their engagement in this process, which is why there is a complicity between family and school.
