Abstract

The twentieth century brought profound changes to society, among them the broader access to the internet and all its demands. The new generations present increasingly urgent and dynamic needs. In this field, Education naturally has been improved year after year, aiming to satisfactorily meet the needs regarding technology in classrooms. New expectations are brought by public agents, through their actions and social needs, in an effort to promote quality services to the school community, especially in what concerns the education of the public school system. As in other areas, the technology used as support for didactic practices in the teaching and learning process becomes a necessity. It was within this atmosphere that the objective of the study was to understand the young people's view of the use of technological resources as support in the classroom. This is an exploratory and applied case study involving 233 students from the public school system of a public school in the city of Recife. The results showed that although much is discuss ed about the importance of the use of technological resources in classrooms, little has been done to make this happen effectively, especially by the public power, the same that establishes the normative principles for a quality education in the country. From the point of view of students, the use of technological resources in the school environment is of great relevance, classes supported by these tools that enhance the teaching and learning process, have a greater connectivity between student, educator and society.
