The objective of this research is to know the impact on academic activities that cyberbullying can have on students of higher education institutions (HEIs), in this case at the Technical University of Babahoyo. We proceeded to conduct a survey to students of various levels in order to investigate if they have been victims or victimizers of this form of aggression through technological means. It was concluded that if there is cyberbullying in the UTB, which often causes low performance, unexcused absences and desertion becoming an obstacle for young people to reach their university careers successfully or in the time stipulated for that.
