This article conducts a study of the narrative configuration of the image of the celestial Messenger in three LatinAmerican stories: “El ángel caído” (1921) by Amado Nervo, “Un señor muy viejo con unas alas enormes” (1968) by Gabriel García Márquez, and “El ángel caído” (1983) by Cristina Peri Rossi.
