Abstract

This paper discusses the contributions of the "Economía simbólica de la alteridad" in relation to the analysis of societies of the Tierras Bajas of South America, particularly on the phenomenon of war and others linked to it. It is proposed that these advances, despite some very specific work, have not been applied to the analysis of societies in the Tierras Altas in the same region, also indicating its heuristic potential for this particular.
