IMPACT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC CONTINGENCY ON 9 AXES OF COUPLE DYNAMICS

Abstract

The probability that the COVID-19 contingency will impact the couple's dynamics is high, since they
are life circumstances that are not in anyone's plans. To know the impact of confinement derived from
COVID-19 in 9 axes of the couple's relationship: communication, affection, sexuality, timeshare,
economy, life plan, housework, support for personal plans and parenting. Exploratory, descriptive,
quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional study; with non-probabilistic, intentional sampling by
quota. 102 Men M = 40.7 years / 338 Women M = 39.5 years. More than 25% of the sample referred
discomfort in the 9 axes before confinement, during this, people with discomfort in the sexuality and
economy axis increased, in the comparison by gender, women were the most impacted in sexuality,
economy, housework and parenting, it is necessary to break gender stereotypes.
