Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the willingness of users to pay for admission to the Hot Springs of the "Recreative Virgin" with respect to income through the Contingent Valuation Method (MVC), which allows us to create a price and a hypothetical market, for which it is necessary to conduct surveys directly to users to determine their perspective of the good offered. The survey is divided into three sections: socioeconomic variables, perspective of the visit and the assessment of the good, for which a sample of 384 surveys was applied. Through the Gretl software that allows to run the results obtained and use the Logit econometric model; the same one that gave the maximum monetary value that should be charged for the admission to the aforementioned recreational complex of $ 7.15 for adults and $ 3.58 for children, the elderly and for people with different abilities so that in this way it will generate an increase of 19.20% in the revenues of the Thermal Baths of the Recreational Virgin, that is, an increase of $ 128,734.11 dollars that would benefit the GAD of Baños de Agua Santa.
