This field research article sought to understand the pedagogical vision of capoeira with its abilities in the school space from the perceptions of the teachers of the capoeiristas students. We elaborate the general objective, which is to present these conceptions. The research is of bibliographical and documentary character, with qualitative approach, based on Bardin and Gil. The field study was carried out in a primary school, II, in the district of Jordão, Recife, PE. As research subjects, seven teachers from this school who teach with the adolescents of the capoeira project in this school space are used. We delivered a questionnaire with semi-structured questions, confronting their answers with the literature of the subject to be approached. The results were favorable regarding the consistency of the proposed questions: capoeira dialogues with the disciplines of the school curriculum. Capoeira's corporeality is a pedagogical instrument in the school. The historicity and culture of capoeira are important for the formation of the identity of the student. The collective aspect of capoeira influences the interpersonal development of the student. We note that teachers affirmed positively these propositions.
