INFLUENCE OF TWITTER IN THE DIGITAL PRESS IN THE CASE OF THE HAZTE OÍR CAMPAIGN: "CHILDREN HAVE PENISES AND GIRLS HAVE VULVA"

The present work is interested in the coverage and the informative treatment that spanish digital press made of the Hazte Oír campaign: "Children have penises. The girls have vulva". Being a case with relevance in Twitter, it is intended to verify the influence of this social network as public agenda and information source in digital newspapers. ABC and El País have been selected, as they are the two most visited general-themed newspapers on the Internet, according to the Association for Media Research (AIMC, 2017). The publications that these newspapers have made during the first month of the campaign have been selected, obtaining a sample of 120 publications. After the analyze, it is noted there is a certain relationship between the conversation on Twitter and the topics covered by the newspapers, however, Twitter has not exercised as an informative source of the news.
