CHALLENGES OF THE STUDENTS OF NEW ENTRANCE TO THE UNIVERSITY

Abstract

When the students changes their educational environment in which he or she develops, concerns arise that can generate risk situations. The objective of this article is to review what are the challenges that new universitie´s student face when they are in the new school. The transcendental challenges are: the role of the student, academic quality, university infrastructure, student´s support and scholarships and the economic factor. After analyzing each of these challenges, the one that presents the greatest relevance is the role that the student plays in the university´s context. To conclude, it is indicated that there are multiple options that allow the student to develop academically, and in the future to work as a professional, but everything will turn based on the execution of motivation, training and, above all, the greed of each student.
