Abstract

Barranquilla as a social environment measures have been implemented for the preservation of its citizens with strategies aimed at health guided by its epidemiology and health organizations, but not only traditional protocolized methods are observed, but also popular methods for health care are visualized , many of them characteristic of their idiosyncrasy that have had satisfactory results as a treatment for pathologies or as an adjuvant to this. This paper seeks to identify and reflect on all those popular cultural samples that have remained present in Barranquilla \ Colombia aimed at health care, know their dynamics and determine their scientific and social value to promote the wellbeing of their inhabitants.
