REWRITING OF THE TESEO’ S MYTH ABOUT LOVE IS MORE A LABYRINTH FROM SOR JUANA INÉS DE LA CRUZ
Abstract
This article analyzes the distinctive elements of the play "Amor es más laberinto" by Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz,
considered as an exercise in rewriting the Myth of Theseus and the Labyrinth of Crete. The emphasis is primarily
on how the author updates the elements of the ancient myth based on its setting, placing as points of tension
new views on the experience of love and perception of power in the center of the Latin American society.
