GENRE AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN MATHEMATICS: THE CASE OF HIGHER EDUCATION

This essay intends to make an inquiry about teacher-student interactions in the mathematics class, taking into account their gender and in what way they influence the academic performance of the students, as well as in what form the first socialization that is The family, generates roles and stereotypes that mark the taste and preference for mathematics, which is reinforced and sharpened throughout the training of each student in school, an act that impacts in a transcendent way in the choice of career of higher education students. Finally, taking into account gender differences, it is expected that this type of writing will contribute to reflect and increase the investigation about this problem, this investigation improves the interactions between teachers and students in the mathematics classroom can be strengthened and improved.
