Abstract

This interview covers the research work of Dr. Zardel Jacobo, professor at the National University of Mexico (UNAM), in relation to the challenges faced by Inclusive Education research, from perspectives that explore and analyze their positions and approaches epistemic-methodological within this field of work. At first, the interview delves into the distances and intersections that can be established between Inclusive Education and Special Education, from the multiplicity of approaches, being emphatic in the need to protect the false judgments condemning the latter, since, this, is not directly responsible for a system of separation and exclusion, as various voices explain. To affirm this would mean, in the judgment of the academic, a misunderstanding of interpretation. The interview goes through a heterotopicality of discussions that try to understand the recurrence of researchers to impose the traditional model of Special Education as part of the consolidation of the analytical-methodological terrain of Inclusive Education. Through these actions, it is verified once again, that there is no change of terrain, but rather, implicit reproduction of values and contents that fix the understanding of this field to the dictation of the past. The epistemological understanding of Inclusive Education is typical of the dialectal force of 'inside' and 'outside' thinking. The interview concludes by analyzing the tensions involved in the construction of educational justice at the level of teacher training and the crystallization of new research practices.
