ANEMIA IN GESTANTS WITHOUT PRECONCEPTIONAL ASSISTANCE: PILOT STUDY

Introduction: Classic anemia is a worldwide affectation, which shows a high prevalence in pregnant women, causing a decrease in the levels of hemoglobin concentration and hematocrit levels in the blood (<11g / dL of hemoglobin and <33% of hematocrit), due to a deficit of iron and folic acid in the body. There are different factors that can affect the appearance and increase of this pathology, both physical, psychological and social Objective: To know the factors that produce anemia in pregnant women without preconceptional assistance Methodology: it is a quantitative, nonexperimental, cross-sectional investigation, through a probabilistic sampling to 57 pregnant women who attended the gynecological-obstetric consultations of the health center 4 de Mayo. Results: During the period from January to June 2017, there is an incidence of anemia in 65% of pregnant women, 55% were under 20 years of age, 70% were in high school, 100% did not attend preconceptional, 65% did not consume the number of recommended daily meals in pregnancy and 30% had a genetic interval <2 years. Conclusion: Anemia occurs due to the influence of sociodemographic and biological factors, in addition to the type of food they have and the intergenic interval in the case of women who had a previous pregnancy.
