EDUCATING FOR DISSENT: POLITICS AND ESTHETICS IN J. RANCIÉRE
Keywords:
Critical theory, Political, Aesthetic, Dissent, Equality, EmancipationAbstract
This article proposes an education for dissent inspired by the political and aesthetic ideas of the Algerian philosopher J. Rancière. In order to do so, we analyze the subject of criticism of criticism as a change of trayectory with respect to traditional critical theory, which is detached from the accusatory logic and ignorance, betting instead on a process of emancipation pronounced through the equality of the intelligences able to propitiate the construction of new capacities, and therefore, the reconfiguration of the sensible through dissent. Finally, the importance of socializing this thinking in the educational field is concluded because it updates and resignifies critical, political and aesthetic thinking, not only of teachers, but also of students in the 21stcentury as it creates another dimension possible for egalitarian and emancipatoy practices.
