Abstract

This research consisted of the application of methodological strategies to improve the quality of English language teaching pertaining to the skills of: writing, reading, listening and speaking in the first year of the baccalaureate of the private school "CAVANIS BORJA 3" of Santo Domingo de los Tsachila Ecuador country, is focused on determining if language learning is related to the methodology used by teachers. The methodology to which this research obeys has a mixed approach; quantitative and qualitative with a quasiexperimental design, a type of non-probabilistic sampling of intentional type was carried out, the sample is made up of 19 students, and the information obtained was analyzed statistically to compare the results prior to the intervention, the results effectively corroborates the deficiency and demonstrate that the students' learning is related to the didactic-methodological strategies used by the teacher.
