Abstract

This article arises from the research: Correlational Analysis between Learning Strategies and Academic Performance in Fifth Grade EGB students, in the Educational Unit "24 de Mayo", whose objective was to analyze the relationship established between both variables. The research responded to the qualitative approach and is of correlational - descriptive type, it was based on the study of two variables: learning strategies and academic performance, considering as sample 39 students, the instruments that were used in the investigation were: survey of students and guide for the analysis of the products of the pedagogical activity to verify, the notes of the students. After the collection of quantitative data, a parametric analysis was used considering that the population distribution of the dependent variable is normal and its level of measurement is by intervals. The selected test was the Pearson Correlation Coefficient, the Statdisk program was used. As a result of this research, a level of significance of 0.07 was obtained, which shows that there is a very low positive relationship between learning strategies and academic performance, concluding that even when learning strategies affect performance Academic is not one of the most determining factors so you have to direct new research looking for other factors that affect it
