In this article we present two contemporary writers and friends of Mexican letters. They agree that they had a complex and difficult beginning of life, both losing beloved relatives from very young, important detail that is reflected in their life and that have marked them in his literary work and professional work. Both entered into Mexican politics with different facets, as well as actively participated in protecting the rights of women and public education. With their struggles in favor of women and on different fronts, they opened a door for other Mexican women writers in the Twentieth Century.
