This study examined the age profile and mean entry age of Brazilian Wheelchair Rugby (WCR) athletes registered with the Brazilian Wheelchair Rugby Association (ABRC). An observational, descriptive-comparative, quantitative design was adopted, based on official data from 2023 to 2025. The sample comprised 231 athletes distributed across three competitive levels: Access Level (Second Division), National Elite (First Division), and National Excellence (Brazilian National Team). The results revealed a progressive decrease in mean age as competitive level increased (39.5, 38.0, and 35.9 years, respectively). Entry into the sport occurred at progressively younger ages at higher competitive levels (34.2, 29.6, and 26.1 years). Age homogeneity was observed among low and mid sport classes, whereas higher classes showed greater variability. It is concluded that age profile is closely associated with competitive progression in Brazilian Wheelchair Rugby.
