THE CONCEPT OF SOCIAL JUSTICE IN NANCY FRASER AS HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION CONTRIBUTION
Abstract
This article debates the evolution of the concept of social justice from Nancy Fraser, tracing her
contribution to human rights education. Several elements are considered in the search for fairer
society, then there is a vulnerability and invisibility of women, poor, black, immigrants, LGBTI+. It is,
therefore, necessary to guarantee these individuals the possibility of equality vis-à-vis the others,
which would be fundamental for talking about social justice, especially about the dimensions of
redistribution, of recognition and participation. In this sense, the article aims to realize a dialogue
about human rights education and possible contributions of Nancy Fraser’s theory to the area, based
on the inductive research method, with a qualitative approach and a literature review. The analysis
points to a categories indicated by the author as one of the bases of the human rights education, so
that it is possible to build a society under the dictates of social justice
