INFLUENCES OF FEMINISM IN THE SOLIDARY ECONOMY: A STUDY ON ORGANIZATIONAL PRACTICES IN SELF-MANAGED ENTERPRISES BY WOMEN
Abstract
The aim of the study is to analyze the relationships between the guiding principles of Solidarity
Economy (SE), namely, self-management, cooperation and autonomy, and the approach to feminist
management practices proposed from the perspective of feminist management practices. Data
collection emerges from the database mapped in Brazil by the National Secretariat for Solidarity
Economy (SENAES in portuguese), covering a sample of 19,708 enterprises and questionnaires
applied to women who form six Solidarity Economy cooperation networks established in the state of
Ceará. The data were analyzed using the multivariate statistics of Multiple Regression Analysis. The
evidence points to a significant relationship between feminist management practices and the
principles of Solidarity Economy, so that practices such as concern for the other and mutual care, thepromotion of democracy and participation and the struggle for transformative results in enterprises
formed by women.
