DISCUSSIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW APPROACH TO DIVERSITY IN CHILEAN EDUCATION
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze and discuss the notion of diversity in Chile, its biological
component, primary interactional context and decolonial influence, from the perspective of radical
constructivism, through a bibliographic review. The conception in the Chilean educational system is
limited, since it does not cover the different dimensions, conditions of the human being, and does not
respond to the demands of today's 21st century society. In this sense, the approach of social inclusion
must be adopted through the achievement of the formation of a critical citizenship in the school,
contributing to the transformations for a democratic society.
