PSYCHOANALYSIS AND WORK: THE FIGHT AGAINST NATURE
Abstract
The present article wants to analyze the notion of Work developed by Sigmund Freud in his
"sociological" writings, for the author it is evident that psychoanalysis takes the definition proposed
by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, which would evidence an influence of Marxist thought in Freud's
work. Continuing with the above, it analyzes the Jacques Lacan's proposal on the mirror stage, its
relationship with work and how impact on the constitution of subjectivity is analyzed. It concludes that
psychoanalysis and Marxism emerge from similar practices, are powerful tools of analysis and
resistance in the face of neoliberalism and contemporary malaise.
