MEMORIES AND TRAJECTORY: NARRATIVES OF A TEACHER WITH HEARING DEFICIENCY
Abstract
This study's objective is to analyze the memories of a teacher with hearing loss from his life story,
covering his educational, professional and family trajectory. The narratives presented here are based
on the interviewee's memories, as a redefinition of their path. It is well known that the memories are
a rescue of the events brought by the subject. The method chosen for this research was Oral History,
and as an instrument for collecting information, I used the interview through WhatsApp, the instant
messaging social network. The teacher answered the questions through the application's audio and
some times stopped typing to clarify any forgotten episode. The narratives originated from memories,
taking into account reflections and dialogue as well as the expectations that a teacher from the first
grades of elementary school has gone, getting remarkable notability in his career.
