THE MONTESSORI SYSTEM AND THE DEVELOPMENTE OF PSYCHOMOTRICITY IN CHILDREN
Abstract
The work shown, carried out by a small group of researcher pedagogues, had as a fundamental
objective, to verify in practice, how the Montessori system obtains outstanding results in the learning
of children in Initial Education, from the development of its methods based in psychomotor skills. He
used the method of systematic observation, since it was initially based on theoretical criteria to
categorize behaviors appreciated in the field, when visiting a cultural educational center in a district
of Lima, which provided valuable information. Along with the observation method, during these
planned visits, experiences were also exchanged with the teachers who were also given lectures on
Learning Theory, in addition to doing a group work on the preparation of their annual methodological
plan and the different activities to develop with the children following the method. Likewise, an
interview was applied to the director of the center, which contributed valuable elements.
