THE SOCIAL WORKER AS FACILITATOR IN THE RESTORATION BOARD OF ALTERNATIVE MEANS OF DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Abstract
This article offers an overview about the characteristics of Alternative Dispute Resolution Means and
the relationship that manages to exist with Social Work, as a trained professional who meets the
characteristics required to be a facilitator, applying its methodology, functions , models, techniques
and instruments; with the purpose of generating approaches and proposals for reflection and timely
application of Social Work in the MASC (Alternative Media for Dispute Resolution), specifically, in the
Restorative Board. Alternative Dispute Resolution Means are legally approved mechanisms that we
can use to put an end to disputes that arise between members of a community. They are
characterized by being highly reliable, attached to equity, justice and the law, that is, are an option to
resolve conflicts in a more friendly, expeditious, simple, agile, efficient, effective and with full legal
effects.
