Abstract
This article aims to discuss the sense of social representation and mental illness of teachers. It is an
article that resulted from a bibliographic research with emphasis on scientific productions theoretically
referenced by authors of education and psychology, highlighting works developed by Serge
Moscovici, Denise Jodelet, José Esteve and Edith Seligmann -Silva.
