Abstract

This article is focused in the construction of the image of disabled body and its capture by the medicine for
becoming it productive, in Santa Fe, Argentina, during the forties.
The precedents of the previous decade, are succinctly analized, for focusing later in the passage in front of
disability of children, as a result of infantile paralysis.
Through the conclusions we can see the importance of the state worry given to every disease that could be
reason of disability or handicap, for avoiding the interferences to the incorporation of workers in the market of
work and extension of circuito of production and comsumption.
