THE IMPACT OF CSR FOR THE INCLUSION OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES: MAKING TANGIBLE THE INTANGIBLE
Abstract
This article aims to present the main results obtained by the Cátedra UB-Fundación Adecco for Labor Integration of People
with Disabilities, in relation to the research conducted on the impact of development policies and strategies for labor inclusion
of people with disabilities on organizational effectiveness (EfO) and the identification and commitment of employees. First, a
tool for analyzing the degree of development of policies and strategies for labor inclusion of people with disabilities (Deployment
Model of policies and strategies for labor inclusion of people with disabilities, MDI-D) was validated. Subsequently, we analyzed
the if degree of deployment of these policies and strategies are related to organizational effectiveness (EfO) and identification
and commitment of employees (ICI), The results show that the policies that have been most developed are those related to
partnerships with specialists in inclusion and collaboration with the local community and voluntary sector, both attached to
external communicative actions. Finally, the highest levels of deployment of policies and strategies for integration of persons
with disabilities (MDI-D) are clearly related to higher levels of employee commitment as well as increased economic and
financial benefits for employee in the last 5 years.
