LABOUR INCLUSION OF DISABLED PEOPLE: EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT EVERYONE WORKS IN A DIFFERENT WAY

Abstract

The University de Los Lagos, in its Strategic Plan Years 2013-2018 stipulated in an explicit way, an agreement with diversity.
This agreement was complemented with the decree number 141/2013, that established a Special Entry for Disabled People.
However, that being said and in its social role with the community, this university presented and appropriated itself the
Project of the Savings of Innovation for the competitiveness, called “Competitive labour promotion of insertion” in people with
Sensorial Motor disability problems”, comming from the Regional Metropolitan Government of Santiago, which was
implemented from year 2011 until year 2013. This labour insertion was complemented with technical certificates in
“Development and Administration of Digital Contents”, “Computers for the Administration” and “Innovation and undertaking of
little businesses “, to which a total of 154 persons were registered. The classes, took place in the campus of Santiago,
achieving to graduate a total of 85 users. As a result of the Labour Insertion, it was able to put in positions of work 20
disabled people
