THE PERCEPTION OF SOCIAL IDENTITIES OF DISABLED STUDENTS IN THE HIGHER EDUCATION IN BRAZIL
Abstract
It is important to know how the college student with disabilities perceives his social identities, from the vision he
has of himself and from how society views him. Moreover, the question has to be expanded to determine
whether this perception is linked to the social and economic context developed from the design and
implementation of public policies for inclusion.
In a time when the idea of identity is in crisis, it is necessary to consider the concept of Moita Lopes (2002), for
whom the fragmentation of the identity corresponds to the many "selves" within it.
