FEMINIST GEOGRAPHY A PROPOSAL FOR INCLUSION

Abstract

This work shows the development of feminist geography in Mexico, how this branch of Geography
developed and how it integrates women as a result of the socially produced space. Geography is
presented as a social science, then it is posed how feminist geography arose and how it made its
appearance in Mexico, later the themes that it has addressed are shown, which allows us to
understand how the inclusión of the invisible ones of the space, women in their diversity. Studies,
theses, research and their participation with civil society and with government institutions of various
scales, in addition to their solidarity with sexual diversity and feminist movements. Finally, the
challenges and pending that feminist geography has towards childhood are raised, LGBTTTI groups,
indigenous women, Afro-descendant women and elderly women.
