THE SCALE OF THE BODY: ABORTION AND THE PENDING ISSUES OF THE MEXICAN STATE
Abstract
The body is considered the first scale to reflect on the production of spaces free of violence, for this
reason, abortion is considered as an issue that crosses this first scale, the body, and that is related
to challenges to State institutions (to legislate, attend, register and around access to justice), in order
to guarantee the possibility of women to decide on their own body. The objective of the article prior
to abortion as an issue that represents pending for the Mexican State, not only in terms of its
regulation, but also in terms of the response of the institutions to attend, register, diagnose, as well
as seek and administer justice.
