THE MULTIPLE FACES OF VIOLENCE IN INTIMACY AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE: IMPACTS AND MANIFESTATIONS IN THE SCHOOL CONTEXT
Abstract
Violence in intimacy relationships has been increasingly present in youth, deserving attention from
different spheres in order to deepen studies and research among young people, warning about the
short and long term consequences for this generation. In this sense, this article aimed to analyze and
bring data on violence in intimate relationships in youth from the perspective of Human Rights, from
the social, behavioral, health and promotion of education and rights. In view of the wide impact and
consequences of violence present in the intimate relationships of young people and the danger of
instituting and normalizing abusive relationships in this phase of life for this age group, this research
proposed to deepen the knowledge of violence in intimacy among young people, its impacts,
consequences and associated factors. As a result, there was a high frequency of violent events in
young people's intimate relationships, manifested through the various types of violence
(psychological, physical, sexual and control), as well as the naturalization by young people of abusive
episodes in their relationships intimate.
