Abstract

The present research work, arises from the need to recognize the level of use of technological tools, as educational support by teachers in urban schools, in the Milagro cantón, Guayas province, Ecuador. This is a quantitative, descriptive and correlational study, that seeks to identify theextent to which teachers in initial, basic schools and high schools, incorporate technological tools in their teaching work. For the study, we have considered all the tasks that a teacher develops in his work spectrum, that is to say, we analyze the technological tools used for the planning of themes, contents and activities. As well as the tools included in their classes during the teaching-learning process. Apart from the description of the study variables, we present statistical inferences and correlation indicators between several variables are presented in order to establish the technological characteristics of the studied population. It should be noted that the daily use of the Internet is a common characteristic in most of the cases studied and that, on the other hand, there are major limitations regarding the technological equipment of educational centers, which depend on the availability of state resources.
