Abstract

Thepresentworkaimstoaddcontributiontotheanalysisandinterpretationofaccessibilitychains.Itisbasedontheideathattheinaccessibilitythatoccursineducationalspacesarenotonlycausedbydeficitsininfrastructureand/orbythepoorapplicationofthetechnicalstandard;forthisreason,itisconsideredthatmanyaccessibilityproblemsderivefromdecisionsmadeinthedesignandnotonlyduetofunctionalresponses,butalsoduetoformalandperceptualaspects,whichgreatlyinfluencetheinaccessibilityofmultiplespaces.Therefore,thisstudyexploresanddescribessomeresponsestothedesignofspacesinHigherEducationthataccountforthenegativeimpactontheuseofspaceforpeoplewhohavesomephysicaldisability.Theproposedmethodhasaquantitativeaspectandisbasedonthesocio-spatialanalysisofoutdoorspacesthatinterconnectvariousfacultiesandservicesintheUniversityWesternZoneofthecityofSanLuisPotosí.Theresultsderivefromanenricheddiagnosisoftangibleandmeasurableevidence,whichallowsanobjectivereadingofmultiplesituationsthatariseandendswithareflectiononthisproblem.
