AN APPROXIMATION TO THE SEMBLANCE OF THE ALFONSO MORENO CHAIR OF THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT OF THE AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF AGUASCALIENTES

Abstract

The Autonomous University of Aguascalientes is one of the key institutions in relation to higher education in Mexico.Therefore, in 2009, with the desire to diversify the educational-artistic offers of the aforementioned institution of higher education,its Department of Musicwas created, in which one of the most outstanding among its various academic actions has been the Alfonso Moreno Cathedra. This research, approached from a historical and descriptive perspective, aims to make an approach to the history of the Alfonso Moreno Cathedra, manifesting its relevance to the artistic construction of the student of the degree in music of the Alma Máterhydrocalida, whose resultshave been manifested year after year in its student body.
