Abstract

This article deals with relevant reflections from the environmental and social areas. Or work as study on non-daily environmental education for two residents and those who living in the communityof Poços da Cidade Cumaru, located in the Northeast of Pernambuco, 115.8 km from the capital of Recife and highlight possibilities for questioning, problematizations and challenges in environmental education. Every society and responsive environment, its preservation, its preservation, its conscious use of certainty, environmental education becomes a great contemporary paradigm. Environmental education through a family environment, not having school environment, where cross-cutting, interdisciplinary, and many use of environmental education and environmental school. This leads us to ask: how does the school can play its role in environmental education? What is the role of school field of environmental education? A more active environmental education, contextualized and not only legislative. Affirmations such as these were mediated by observed. In this article a reflection on the environment and the allows us to take a thematic approach to the relationship between environment and education and are only with daily practices that demand individual initiatives that the environment will be preserved and we will know in fact or meaning of social responsibility term
