THE EDUCATIONAL ROLE OF THE PRESS IN THE PROVINCE OF ÑUBLE (1848-1920)

In the framework of a modernizing project carried out in the Province of Ñuble, the local authorities used the press to civilize and moralize the population, with the purpose of promoting respect for order, through a content aimed at contributing to the education of the future citizen, of the woman. In addition, it was a platform for citizen expression and the formation of a public opinion.
