NURSE'S ACTIVITY IN THE FAMILY HEALTH PROMOTION IN BRAZILIAN FAMILY HEALTH STRATEGIES: REVIEW OF LITERATURE

Health promotion requires that the approach be based on formulated and applied actions of public health policies, with emphasis on participatory management at the level of basic care. Attention is translated into the actions of the ESF team and within this framework nurses characterize the community by understanding the aspects that determine local health. They develop their actions related to the way of living and surviving of the community. In this way a literature review was carried out with the objective of listing in the literature the main forms of nurses' role in promoting the Brazilian family's health. It is observed that the main actions carried out by nurses in Brazilian FHS are management, consultation, diagnosis and prescription of nursing, health education, among others. Highlighting the management and health education, as these are the basis of the essence of nursing. During the research the little amount of studies regarding the subject was observed.
