Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze some elements that structure the social interaction in the public transport of the city of Pachuca de Soto, specifically, in the combis or collective service, through a participant observation, to show emerging cooperation and conflict actions during the trip or transfers in these insufficient transportation units. This is a case study, from the perspective of the dramaturgy of Erving Goffman. Trips or transfers were made for three weeks (Monday through Friday), to describe verbal, bodily and gestural expressions. Among the results it was observed that, among the actions of cooperation and conflict, a kind of resignation and carelessness was detected among the majority of its users to maintain the order of interaction in this space. In this progress of the analysis, we conclude that given this deficient attention, both from the municipal and state authorities themselves and from transport concessionaires, around this problem, expressions are detected not only of exasperation among their users, but also of solidarity.
