COMPETENCES FOR POSTGRADUATES IN ADMINISTRATIVE ECONOMIC SCIENCES. A PERSPECTIVE OF EMPLOYERS AND GRADUATES

The purpose of the study was to identify the competences demanded by the labor market and be able to incorporate them into the graduate profiles of the graduate programs of a public university in southeastern Mexico. The sampling used was deterministic, where 261 key informants participated. The Research Graduate Competencies scale adapted to administrative economic sciences was used, which presents an adjustment of data according to the proposed theoretical model. The results indicate that knowledge for the development of research or technology projects, the ability to solve problems, the ability to general ideas, the commitment to work quality and professional ethics, are the most valued elements. It is possible to explain according to the size of the effect, 30% of the differences between the public and private sector in relation only to the values. It is concluded that employers and graduates, mainly rank soft skills, because it argues greater impact on productivity. Future lines of research are released in relation to multidisciplinary and network work.
