GOD BLESS TODAY’S CLASS: A STUDY OF RELIGION ON THE CULTURE OF A HIGH EDUCATION INSTITUTION IN FORTALEZA

Abstract

Religion is a subject present in organizations but has been peripherally explored in combination with other subjects in organizational studies. That has made it difficult to conduct researches that seek to understand how it is expressed in organizational culture. This study sought to analyze the ways in which religion is expressed in a higher education institution in the city of Fortaleza / CE. The theoretical foundation is based on the organizational culture, which is built and modified through the interaction between employees, and between employees and organization. The methodological approach was qualitative and data was collected from 2017 to 2019. The research showed that the organization declares it’s religion by religious through religious symbols and institutional rites.
