BLOCKCHAIN AS A MEANS OF ERADICATING CHILD LABOR AND COMBATING SLAVE-LIKE LABOR
Keywords:
Eradication of child labor, Blockchain, Fundamental rightsAbstract
This paper aims to outline a brief presentation on the practical use of Blockchain technology as a means of eradicating child labor and combating labor analogous to conditions of slavery. Despite the important role of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in combating these inhuman forms of work, 100 (one hundred) years after its establishment, there are still reports of companies that use this workforce to increase their profitability. Although it seems quite obvious that workers should have their social rights protected, it is still absolutely necessary not only to protect their interests, but also to have skillful mechanisms for controlling and eradicating labor in inhuman conditions.
