APC
Revista Inclusiones is a non-profit publication. Resources obtained through APCs are used exclusively to maintain and improve the quality of our editorial services.
To ensure open and free access to articles published in Revista Inclusiones, we apply an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 80 per article.
What does the APC include?
This one-time payment covers the entire editorial process and services associated with publishing your research:
- Complete editorial management: call for papers, personalized author support, coordination of the review process, and correspondence throughout all stages
- Peer review: management of anonymous evaluation by external specialists in your field
- Originality verification: analysis through Similarity Check powered by iThenticate to ensure academic integrity
- DOI assignment: registration and assignment of a permanent Digital Object Identifier for your article
- Editing and proofreading: style review, formatting, and minor technical adjustments according to journal standards
- Open access publication: immediate and permanent dissemination without access barriers
- Digital infrastructure: hosting, secure backup, and maintenance of your article on our OJS platform
- Indexing and visibility: metadata processing for distribution in international databases
- Administrative costs: banking services, trademark management, and editorial operations
- Dissemination: academic marketing strategies and promotion of published content
No additional costs
We do not apply extra charges at any stage of the process, neither for authors, co-authors, nor complementary services. The APC fully covers your publication.
Payment timing
Payment of the APC is requested after the initial suitability assessment and before submission for peer review. This approach allows us to:
- Confirm your commitment to the editorial process
- Guarantee the work of our external reviewers
- Ensure resources for professional management of your manuscript
Important: Payment of the APC does not guarantee article acceptance. The final decision depends on the results of peer review and the Editorial Committee's evaluation.
Refund policy
In case of rejection after peer review, a 100% refund of the APC will be processed through the same payment platform originally used. The refund will be processed within a maximum of 15 business days.

APC WAIVERS
Revista Inclusiones recognizes the economic challenges of research in Latin America. Therefore, 10% of articles per issue may be published at no cost, under these criteria:
We prioritize:
✔ Research with high social impact (health, education, sustainability, etc.).
✔ Authors with economic limitations (institutions without funding, vulnerable countries).
✔ Geographic and gender equity (women, underrepresented communities, remote regions).
