Revista Inclusiones Now Integrates CORE: Your Research Enters the World's Largest Open Knowledge Ecosystem
Our incorporation into the world's largest open access database reinforces the journal's commitment to the maximum dissemination of research published by our authors.
Our Commitment to Open Access
Since its founding in 2014, Revista Inclusiones has upheld a fundamental conviction: scientific knowledge must be accessible to all. Every article we publish is freely available, at no cost to the reader or their institution, in full accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition. This philosophy is not merely a statement of principles; it is the driving force behind every editorial decision we make. It is within this framework that we are pleased to announce that Revista Inclusiones has been officially incorporated as a data provider in CORE (COnnecting REpositories), the world's largest aggregator of open access academic content, developed by The Open University in the United Kingdom. Our data provider profile is available at: https://core.ac.uk/data-providers/24969/
What Is CORE and Why Is It Relevant to You? CORE (core.ac.uk) is an open scholarly infrastructure service that currently indexes over 400 million academic resources from more than 14,000 data providers worldwide. Unlike other aggregators, CORE does not merely collect metadata: it accesses the full text of articles, exponentially increasing their discovery and reuse by the international scientific community. Among the institutions and organizations that regularly access CORE's data are leading universities such as the University of Cambridge, the University of Chicago, and the University of Glasgow; preprint services such as arXiv.org; organizations such as Jisc (the UK's digital infrastructure body) and the Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR); as well as technology and pharmaceutical companies that use its data for research, artificial intelligence, plagiarism detection, and the development of specialized search engines. Microsoft, through its Open Data Initiative, has financially supported CORE with a five-year commitment.
What Does This Mean for Our Authors?
The integration of Revista Inclusiones into CORE has concrete and direct implications for every researcher who publishes with us:
Greater global visibility. Your articles become part of an ecosystem consulted by millions of researchers, institutions, and technology platforms across more than 100 countries and 52 languages. CORE acts as a bridge connecting your research with audiences that would not have otherwise found it.
Full-text access. Unlike databases that only index titles or abstracts, CORE harvests the complete content of articles. This means your findings, data, and arguments will be available for analysis, citation, and reuse worldwide. Expanded citation potential. By being indexed in CORE, your article can be discovered by automated recommendation systems, academic search engines, and text-mining tools that fuel cutting-edge research across multiple disciplines.
Interoperability with major platforms. CORE integrates with services such as OpenAIRE, institutional repositories, and APIs used by over 7,000 experts for data analysis and application development. Your research thus enters dissemination channels that transcend the traditional boundaries of an academic journal.
Long-term preservation and accessibility. CORE ensures that indexed articles remain permanently accessible, contributing to the sustainability of the open scientific record.
Local Data, Global Reach This indexation is far more than a technical achievement. It is the realization of our editorial vision: to be a space where data from local communities converge, engage in dialogue, and project themselves toward research of broader scope. We firmly believe that research conducted at a provincial university, a study on educational policies in a rural community, or a socio-historical analysis of a specific region all have the potential to contribute to global debates when given the right platform.
CORE is precisely that multiplying platform. By integrating into this ecosystem, the articles published in Revista Inclusiones cease to be isolated pieces and become nodes in a global network of open knowledge. A researcher in Tokyo, a doctoral student in Berlin, or a research team in Nairobi can now discover, read, and cite the research you publish with us. Part of a Comprehensive Dissemination Strategy The incorporation into CORE adds to our presence in over 20 international databases and indexes, including DIALNET, ERIH PLUS, Latindex, LatinREV, MIAR, and WorldCat, among others.
Each of these indexations responds to a deliberate strategy: ensuring that the research published in our journal reaches the widest possible audience, with the highest standards of interoperability and metadata.
Furthermore, this integration is carried out through our OAI-PMH endpoint (metadata harvesting protocol), which ensures that content updates are automatic and continuous. Each new issue published on our Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform will be available on CORE in a timely manner.
