The increase in migratory movements that have been taking place since the last years of the last century has turned Spain into a multicultural society where a mixture of people from different cultures coexists. This phenomenon has a strong impact on our schools, which have to face the fact that they have become multicultural spaces that require a series of specific measures. Although the implementation of intercultural education, as a response to the situation of multiculturalism experienced by our educational system, is a task for all the components that make up the school, in this work we advocate for the need to educate students in the acceptance of the different as an essential requirement to promote peaceful and integrative coexistence. To achieve this purpose, we propose the use of literature, employing a critical pedagogy based on the development of dialogic discussions.
